NCW NSW is one of the oldest women’s organisations in Australia. We have been recognising and fighting for women’s rights and equal opportunities for more than 120 years. For our latest news, see our June Newsletter.

Our dedicated women continue this unbroken service to women’s welfare and social justice by influencing public opinion, lobbying governments, initiating and supporting projects, and offering scholarships and awards.

Once again, we held our lunch to Celebrate Being an Australian on Wednesday, 24 January, 2018 at the Strangers' Dining Room in NSW Parliament House. Our NCW Australia Day Awards were presented to a number of tertiary students to assist them in their further studies. Photos are available on the website of Michael Mannington,  our volunteer photographer, For media use, use this link. See the website for all the photos taken on the day.

A NCW NSW Recognition Award was presented to Sonia Casanova, a member of Soroptimist International, at the Foundation Day Luncheon, held on 9 August, 2018. This worthy recipient was nominated by Nerida Murray, President, Soroptimist International, NSW. The guest speaker was Janet Schorer, NSW Children's Guardian. For photos see volunteerphotography, org

The National Council of Women of NSW is keen to reward and encourage a sense of resilience and compassion in young women today and one of the ways we do this is through our NCW NSW Dame Marie Bashir Peace Awards which will be presented by Dame Marie herself on Tuesday, 2 October, 2018 at NSW Parliament House.

Members of NCW NSW  will join with other State Councils at the Triennial Conference organised by the National Council of Women of Australia held at QT Canberra, 1 London Circuit, Canberra, ACT from 17 - 19 October, 2018.
